Religious life of the School

A Special Step in Faith
Several of our wonderful OLR students along with others from the community, celebrated their First Reconciliation. This sacred milestone marks the beginning of their journey toward First Holy Communion next weekend.
Over the past few weeks, these students have been attending weekly lessons with Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, preparing their hearts and minds for this important sacrament. Their commitment and reverence are a true reflection of the values we hold dear at Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School Caloundra.
Please join us in praying for these young hearts as they continue their faith journey

Reflecting on Our Holy Week Liturgy
Our school community came together to journey through the pivotal moments of Holy Week. From the triumphant entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday to the Last Supper, the solemn moments in the Garden of Gethsemane, and the Stations of the Cross, our students brought these sacred events to life with great devotion.
The students' participation was truly heartfelt, and our readers delivered their parts with clarity and conviction. It was a beautiful way to reflect on the significance of these days leading up to Easter.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Kelli, our APRE, and our dedicated teachers for their hard work and dedication in making this event so meaningful for everyone involved.

Lent - Burning of the Promises Ceremony

We gathered in the Quadrangle for our annual Burning of the Promises ceremony. Our students’ written promises were placed into the fire in a powerful symbolic act of purification and renewal as we journey through Lent.
Fr. Gerard spoke beautifully about the focuses of Lent: Prayer, Fasting, and Almsgiving, reminding us of the importance of these practices during this sacred season. We are deeply grateful to Fr. Gerard and Fr. Josh for attending and conducting this meaningful ceremony.
The ashes from today’s fire will be collected and used in our Ash Wednesday Mass, helping us embrace the season of reflection and growth.
